it's real -Not many years ago very few people who had not visited Japan knew very much about sushi, but in recent years a variety of restaurants have appeared in the major cities of the world serving up sushi bearing more or less of a resemblance to the Japanese original. The purpose of this site is to show what real Japanese sushi looks like... you can enjoy pictures of the fish as well as the sushi dishes themselves.

it's real -There is also a search option, so you can get pictures of exactly the sushi you want to see - you can search in romaji Japanese (ie., Japanese written out in our alphabet), in Japanese (you will need to have a Japanese font enabled to do this) or in English.

it's real -One other feature of the site is that you can learn the original Japanese names for the different kinds of sushi with an English translation. Even people who have lived in Japan for some time complain that they know the words to use when ordering, but still have no idea what it is in fact that they are eating. Dubious rumours about intestinal worms notwithstanding, I would suggest that you won't regret getting your mouth around some real japanese sushi.
